Deleting your account

You can delete your Manchitas account and all its data whenever you like, without asking anyone and without giving a reason.

In the app

1. Open Manchitas.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Account, then Delete account.
4. Type your password to confirm it is you.

The deletion happens there and then. There is no waiting period and nothing to write to anybody.

What exactly is deleted

• Your account: email address, name, password, time zone and language.
• Your devices and their notification tokens, so reminders stop arriving at once.
• Every open session, on every phone of yours.
• Every pet where you were the only person with access, with all its measurements, notes and reminders.
• Your access to pets you shared, and your name against the changes you made to them.

Pets you shared with other people are not deleted: they remain theirs. What disappears is your presence in them. The people who shared them with you will see that you are gone.

If you have already uninstalled the app

Write to privacy@mimanchitas.com from the email address you created the account with. That is all we need to identify you; we ask for no documents. We delete the account within 30 days at the latest and confirm by email when it is done.

What cannot be undone

None of it. There is no bin and no way to get the account back afterwards. If you only want the reminders to stop, turn them off in the settings rather than deleting the account.

The data goes on existing for a while in the server's encrypted backups — 7 days for hourly copies, 92 days for daily ones — after which they destroy themselves. They are not reachable from the app and are used for nothing but restoring the service after a failure. We explain it in the privacy policy.
